SnapAura collects minimal information to provide its screenshot editing services:

Local Image Processing: Screenshots you capture or upload are processed entirely within your browser
User Preferences: Settings like background choices, borders, and effects (stored locally in your browser)
Premium Status: Payment and subscription information through our secure payment processor ExtensionPay

How We Use Your Information

Screenshots and Images

All screenshot editing, background application, and effect processing happens locally in your browser. Your images never leave your device unless you explicitly choose to download or share them.

User Settings

Your preferences (gradient choices, border settings, etc.) are stored locally using Chrome's storage API to maintain your settings between sessions.

Premium Features

When you purchase premium access, we only collect the minimum information necessary to verify your payment and unlock premium features.

Third-Party Services

ExtensionPay

We use ExtensionPay as our secure payment processor for premium purchases. ExtensionPay handles all payment transactions and maintains their own privacy policy for payment data.

ExtensionPay may collect:

Payment information (processed securely, not stored by SnapAura)
Purchase confirmation data
Extension usage analytics for payment verification

Data Storage and Security

SnapAura is designed with privacy by default:

No Cloud Storage: Your images are never uploaded to external servers
Local Processing: All editing happens in your browser using HTML5 Canvas
Temporary Storage: Image data is only stored temporarily in browser memory during editing
User Control: You control when and how to save or share your created screenshots

Chrome Extension Permissions

SnapAura requests the following permissions for specific functionality:

activeTab: To capture screenshots of the current browser tab
scripting: To inject selection tools for capturing specific page elements
tabs: To access tab information for accurate screenshot capture
storage: To save your preferences locally in your browser

Your Rights and Choices

Data Deletion: Uninstalling the extension removes all locally stored data
Settings Control: You can reset your preferences at any time within the extension
Premium Cancellation: Contact ExtensionPay directly for premium subscription management

Children's Privacy

SnapAura is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. We will notify users of any material changes through the Chrome Web Store update mechanism.
